LOCO ANNOUNCEMENT
Our vision is coming together piece by little piece. Sometimes it takes weeks to make an inch of progress, sometimes we leap to the moon overnight. By the end of this year Loco will be THE place in the Lowcountry for health and wellness.
We already have an amazing community to welcome and support our new members with open arms, in all of you, the LocoFam.
We have an incredible team in place. When I look around I can not believe the caliber of coaches we have here. Doctorates, special operators, MFAs, it’s absolutely freaking INSANE and I’m not sure how I got so lucky.
Once we upgrade the building, which opens up amazing opportunities besides just having a beautiful facility, it’s game over.
We are the future of a broken health care system. The hospital is sick care. Waiting until your body breaks to fix something is the equivalent of driving your car without changing the oil until your engine explodes. At least you can buy a new car…
We exist to insulate you from the ravages of disease and the slow depredation of old age. We are here to turn you into a kick ass 90 year old.
We do this by paying attention not just to your fitness, but to your HEALTH. Fitness is a component, but health also includes nutrition, recovery/sleep, mindset, and relationships. When you realize all those things are interconnected your progress will be accelerated exponentially.
I DON”T CARE HOW HARD OR OFTEN YOU WORKOUT, YOU CANNOT OUT TRAIN THE OTHER 4 FACTORS OF HEALTH.
To sum my BSF up with a quote from Greg Glassman, the founder of CrossFit, “Each gym is a lifeboat in what is a tsunami of chronic disease, and it’s coming.” I am proud and excited to be that life boat, and it’s a solemn reminder the work we do saves lives.

25 min AMRAP In Partners

3 Rounds for Total Reps

16 Box Stepups w/Db 24/20

Strategy and Briefing

Rope Climbs (higher levels) will be the factor that determines success in this Partner workout. Take your time on the Rope Climbs — don’t push it too early. Move straight through at a consistent pace, on the Db Push Press & Box Stepup. Stay unbroken throughout. On the Run move at a steady pace to slightly recover from the inside work — but don’t go so slow that you leave your partner hanging. On both the Run and Rounds, breathing should be in rhythm with movement, to last the entire 25 minutes. Shoot for consistent times on the 400m run so you and your partner have equal work times.

Levels Consideration:  Running, API

Goal:  10+ Rounds
