Congrats to our February Member of the Month, Toni Herman!

We caught up with Toni to hear her story in her own words. Here’s what she had to say:

Q: What brought you to CrossFit in the first place?

A: I would drive by Locomotion all the time. I’d hit up google see what it was about and tell myself “I can’t do that!” Then I found out someone I work with was a member and she told me I should sign up. So I did a Intro with Jay, I debated for at least 2-3 months. Went and watched a class and was still on the fence. A month later I took the plunge, I joined the “cult” as my husband called it ! (HaHa)

Q: What was your first impression?  How has that changed?

A: First Impression = terrified it was different than anything I had ever considered doing!!! How has it changed….it’s seriously a family and the positivity that comes from every coach / member is NOTHING I have experienced. I’m sad I waited so long !!!

Q: What was your first “bright spot”?

A: Can’t think of the very first one but having to find some of my smaller pants was definitely a HUGE bright spot for me!

Q: What are you working on now?

A: Staying focused and consistent. The end of 2019 threw me not 1 but 2 different curve balls! I know my issue is nutrition and I don’t want to make excuses any more I want to make the change and stay with it!

Q: What’s your favorite Locomotion Memory?

A: There are many, but my first open probably stands out the most. Getting over the fear of working out with so many people watching. The energy and positivity really hits a heart string for me. Surround yourself around people that are positive and amazing! That’s definitely what I have found at Locomotion Fitness!

Toni is the world’s best dog-mom who loves softball and coaches in her free time. She brings an inquisitive mind, a happy spirit and a positive attitude to every class – but things get most fun when she brings her noise-makers!! We love Toni and watching her grow stronger every day is why we are so lucky to do what we do. Congrats Woman!
