We had the Iron Wolf Recovery (tag them) liftoff on Saturday (GREAT job to everyone who participated) and the number one issue we saw was people setting up improperly for the Deadlift.
The setup is crucial for the dead because this lift is all about creating and maintaining tension. That tight feeling in the bottom is actually a good thing! Here’s a checklist of some items to think through next time you approach the bar.
- Spread your feet and distribute your weight
- Lock in your upper body
- Move through your hip and knee
