‘Why do I have to wait so long before I get to lift again?’ When we are doing strength training, we use a different system in the body to fuel our muscle contractions than when we are doing intervals or cardio. When we lift a heavy weight, we drain our muscle batteries of energy, even if it doesn’t feel like it. To be able to recharge your battery, you’ll need 2-5 minutes of rest before you lift again in order to even make the lift worth it to build strength. Coach Jason explains why!
